Art Deco 1.2ct Old Mine Cut French Cut Ruby Target Ring

The design of this beauty is one of the most iconic Art Deco styles: delicate platinum milgrain, channel-set natural rubies, and — most special of all — a super chunky old mine cut in the center! The rubies are also an unusual French cut rather than standard flat cuts, giving them far better brilliance and texture. The setting is also very unique, with a bowl-like silhouette with scroll motifs at the bottom.

The center stone is a super chunky old mine cut of about 1.2ct — very white and very clean, a rare I color with VS2–SI1 clarity for an OMC. The surrounding natural rubies total around 1.2 ct and are of Myanmar origin (Burmese rubies are known for top quality and high value). There are also a few tiny diamonds on both sides of the band (~0.1ctw). Altogether the gemstones weigh approximately 2.5 ctw. The rubies are a vivid magenta with strong fluorescence in sunlight. Perfect in all possible ways!
