Rare Victorian Natural Pearl & Demantoid Garnet Clover Brooch

A rare and beautiful pairing of natural pearls and demantoid garnets. The natural pearls are wonderfully plump and round, measuring approximately 3-4mm each, with a soft, silky lustre. They are accented with pavé-set demantoid garnets and arranged into a three-leaf clover motif, a design particularly beloved during the Victorian era.

Victorian demantoid garnets were mined in Russia from historic deposits that have long since ceased production. Many natural demantoids seen today carry noticeable yellow undertones, making stones with this vivid, fresh grassy-green color especially desirable.
